As the virtual fitness industry continues to thrive, Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into how the top players in the market performed on the Android platform in the United States during the first quarter of 2021.

Fitbit saw a gradual decline in revenue from $411K in the last week of December 2020 to $207K in the last week of March 2021. Downloads followed a similar downward trend, starting at 112K in late December and settling at around 38K by the end of March. Weekly active users also decreased from 5.4M to 5.3M over the same period.

The onX Hunt: GPS Hunting Maps app experienced a decline in revenue starting at $186K and ending the quarter at around $129K. Downloads dipped early in the quarter from 14K to under 9K but saw a slight uptick towards the end, closing at approximately 8K. Active users saw a decrease from 71K to 58K from the end of December to the end of March.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike also saw a decrease in revenue from $63K to $64K, with a notable peak at $75K in early March. Downloads peaked dramatically in early March at 45K, a significant rise from the 17K at the start of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a recovery towards the end of the quarter, increasing from 471K to 476K.

AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run showed a substantial revenue increase from $60K to $111K. Downloads exhibited an upward trend, growing from 24K to 35K. Weekly active users grew steadily from 261K in late December to around 260K at the end of March.

Lastly, Peloton - Fitness & Workouts showed an increase in revenue from $43K to $71K, with a peak at $89K in late March. Downloads remained relatively steady, with a slight increase from 35K in late December to around 16K by the end of March. Active users showed a gradual increase from 158K to 147K over the quarter.
